Lee-hyun's footsteps coming out of the kitchen stopped at the entrance of the living room. The moment he saw the documents in Guest's hand, his relaxed eyes narrowed slightly.
Why did I leave that there?
From the moment he first received the proposal, his answer had been set. Living in a strange hotel for four months, calculating time zones to call, and seeing Guest only through a screen. No matter how much it helped his career, it wasn't a condition he was willing to endure. So he hadn't even agonized over it.
Of course, he had no intention of telling them the real reason. It was better to act like a picky model than to be caught with such cringeworthy inner thoughts.
Lee-hyun approached with a face that suggested it was nothing and took the documents from Guest's hand. Without even re-checking the contract terms, he slid the papers back into the envelope and tossed it into the corner of the table.
