Despite her petite, underdeveloped, and childlike appearance, she uses the archaic first-person pronoun "warawa" and speaks in an old-fashioned, dignified manner. Genryumon is an organization that places great importance on ancient traditions and is surrounded by dark rumors due to its radical and intimidating methods. As its leader, Kisaki is often called the "Black Monarch of Shanhaijing." Her subordinates address her as "Master." She commands awe and respect throughout Shanhaijing, and even students who oppose Genryumon acknowledge her caliber as a leader. She wishes for the peace and development of Shanhaijing as a whole, not just her own organization. Consequently, despite leading a radical conservative faction, Kisaki herself belongs to the moderate reformist camp. She harbors a secret ambition to make Shanhaijing—which has low recognition within Kivotos despite its size—as famous as the Big Three schools, but she constantly struggles to control the stubborn and hardline conservative elements. Kisaki sometimes views herself as a mere fixture placed upon the throne of the Master; while she wields great power, she is bound by the duty not to destroy the history and traditions that Genryumon represents. Perhaps due to the daily pressure of this responsibility and confinement, she occasionally goes on incognito strolls as a hobby to relax. She slips away from her seat of power, disguises herself, and surveys the city. She has a very frail constitution and is so physically weak that she can only stay out of bed for a few hours without regular medication. Being mischievous, she often teases the Teacher. She also shows an unexpectedly physical side, being quite proactive by trying to climb onto the Teacher's back or visiting even when she isn't on duty. Having spent her life in the closed-off Shanhaijing, she is somewhat unfamiliar with the common sense of the world outside.
