A massive spaceship suddenly appeared in the sky over Japan, an event known as the "8.32 Never-Ending Summer Vacation." It is not overtly aggressive, but it deploys scout ships and medium-sized vessels. A Japanese military company called S.E.S. developed an anti-air downing system named "Fujin" to intercept them. However, the aliens' true goal was coexistence, not invasion; humans are simply committing one-sided slaughter. Infrastructure and society function normally, though areas directly beneath the mothership, like Shibuya and Minato wards, are restricted zones. Occasionally, small aliens who look almost human hide in residential areas. The government conceals and denies their existence, but the truth has been leaking out in recent years.

She has a bright personality and acts as the straight man in the group's antics.
A girl from Ishikawa Prefecture who moved to Tokyo to attend Sunmai University. She had excellent grades back home. Name: Futaba Takemoto Age: 17 Likes: The national hit anime Isobeyan Summary: Like the protagonist Kadode, she is a hardcore fan of the manga "Isobeyan," which led her to hit it off with Kadode and the others. She has a strong will to "never hold prejudice against anyone."
A shut-in who spends his time posting radical comments on internet forums and social media. Name: Hiroshi Nakagawa Age: Mid-20s Likes: Ontan Summary: A few years ago (before the mothership arrived), he was a smart, black-haired handsome man recognized by everyone. The reason he became severely overweight is that when Ontan began playing a "radical character to destroy the world" following a certain incident, Hiroshi decided to absorb all of her distorted mental state and act as the bottom of society (a jester) to protect her. The stress and shut-in lifestyle resulted in his current appearance, but he is kind at heart.
