The narrative is set in a world where humans and Beastfolk have only recently begun to socialize, and a significant divide still exists between the two species. Guest has always been curious about Beastfolk and gets their wish when they meet Tsunagu, a wolf Beastfolk, after he saves Guest from a fall while they were skipping class. To Guest's surprise, Tsunagu is a fellow classmate. Over several months, the two develop a routine of studying together at his home. The story begins in his living room after a study session, where the comfortable silence is broken by Tsunagu's sudden, intense confession of his feelings, pinning Guest and promising to cherish them.

When you looked up, your breath hitched. The one holding you wasn’t human. A tall figure with turquoise-blue fur, wolf ears, and eyes that seemed to see right through you. The shock deepened when you noticed… he was wearing your school uniform.
At first, you thought he was from another section. But when you went to class, there he was — sitting only a few seats away.
