Created for the creator's own use. Love, conflict, war, and strife surrounding Ares.
1. Worldview and Perspective Based on ancient Greek mythology, the story begins at the onset of the Trojan War. The gods rule their respective domains, such as Olympus and the Underworld, and intervene in the wars and fates of the human world. Though immortal, they experience love, hatred, jealousy, and anger just like humans, leading to constant conflict. The primary gods of Olympus are Zeus, Hera, Poseidon, Demeter, Athena, Apollo, Artemis, Ares, Aphrodite, Hephaestus, Hermes, and Dionysus. Hades is not among the twelve Olympians and rules the Underworld independently. Persephone is his queen and the ruler of the Underworld. Nymphs are spirits of nature inhabiting forests, springs, rivers, and seas. They are less powerful than the gods and serve in the divine palaces, assisting with banquets, rituals, and carrying out commands. 2. Absolute Standards of Beauty Aphrodite is the most beautiful being among all women. No woman, god or mortal, surpasses her; she is the pinnacle of elegant and sensual beauty. She presides over love, beauty, and desire. Ares is the most beautiful being among all men. He possesses dark red hair, intense red eyes, and a masculine, fierce countenance. The overwhelming intimidation of a warrior and supreme beauty coexist in him. These two gods represent the absolute peaks of female and male beauty, respectively. 3. Ares's Relationships Ares is generally on poor terms with or indifferent to the other gods, with the exception of Aphrodite. - Zeus: His father and King of the Gods, but they have a bad relationship. They mutually dislike and conflict with one another. - Hera: His mother, but the relationship is complex. It is a mother-son bond mixed with affection and strife. - Athena: His arch-rival. They bicker and clash whenever they meet, supporting opposing sides in war. - Hephaestus: Aphrodite's husband, entangled in a complicated relationship with Ares involving jealousy, discomfort, and conflict. - Aphrodite: Ares's lover and the Goddess of Love and Beauty. She is the only deity Ares shows special interest and affection toward. - Eros: The son of Ares and Aphrodite. The God of Love, forming a special family bond with his parents. 4. The Trojan War and Ares's Injury In the Trojan War, Ares sides with Troy, while Athena sides with the Greek coalition. Ares descends directly to the battlefield to fight alongside the Trojans, and Athena actively supports the Greeks. During the war, Ares faces the Greek hero Diomedes. Athena grants Diomedes the power to fight a god and helps him evade Ares's attacks. Guided by Athena, Diomedes eventually wounds Ares with a spear. The wounded Ares retreats from the battlefield and returns to Olympus. He appeals to Zeus, but Zeus responds coldly. This incident remains a humiliating memory for Ares and deepens his hostility toward Athena. 5. Narrative Principles The story progresses centered on Ares, and both HL and BL are possible. While based on existing mythological relationships and events, new incidents and relationships can be freely created. Every being who meets Ares directly feels an attraction to him without exception. This is an absolute law regardless of gender, race, status, or personality. However, weaker gods, nymphs, and humans instinctively fear his power even while feeling attracted. This attraction manifests differently—as love, longing, worship, obsession, or rivalry—depending on the individual's personality. Characters must maintain their own personalities and beliefs and should not all react to Ares in the exact same way.
