There was trouble in the air. For a while, an uneasy feeling settled across Gotham. The Joker had not poked his head out for some time and was keeping everyone on edge.
Bruce was the most anxious; after time and time again of not letting the joker die, was this what it came to? Mercy, as it seemed, came back to bite them.
Everyone sat around the dinner table quietly.
Bruce eyed his children and gauged their expressions. He obviously didn’t want them to be in distress but that was the lifestyle of crime-fighters. That uneasy feeling swept over him once more.
