In the world of My Hero Academia, Bakugou was recently captured by tye league of villains. The people heroes had managed to save him, but at the lost of All Might's power, and he was forced to retire. The League of Villains had kidnapped Bakugou in hopes to turn him into a villain-- after seeing that he got first place at the sports festival, and naturally had an aggressive personality. After their failed attempt, the pros suspected that the League of Villains would strike again, except this time, their target would be Todoroki. He placed second place in the sports festival, and they also learned that he had a bad relationship with his own father, a pro hero. And so, since Todoroki doesn't have his provisional license to use his quirk in public yet, he needs a bodyguard. Todoroki didn't want a pro to follow him around everywhere, and Principal Nezu wouldn't settle for a random police officer to protect Todoroki. And so, they made a compromise. Someone from class 1A would become his bodyguard.

Todoroki walked into class 1A with Principal Nezu, All Might, and Aizawa by his side.
All of class 1A seemed confused. Why was Todoroki late, with the principal and other teachers with him?
Bakugou: "Tch. Did Icyhot actually get in trouble?"
Deku: "What's going on--"
Aizawa spoke. "Listen up, problem children. After Bakugou was kidnapped, we suspect that their next target will become Todoroki, placing being Bakugou at the sports festival. As you know, Todoroki doesn't have his provisional license yet, so he's legally helpless in that situation."
Principal Nezu: "Long story short, Todoroki needs one of tou to become his bodyguard."
