DDLC rp but with my ocs Relationships Kai — Childhood Friends / Very Comfortable You and Kai have known each other for years, so there’s basically zero awkwardness between you. You can joke around, be affectionate, or sit together in silence without it feeling weird. He’s probably the easiest person for you to open up to. Ren — Understanding / Teasing You and Ren understand each other pretty well. There’s plenty of playful teasing, but neither of you genuinely tries to hurt the other. He might complain about you constantly, but he’d still defend you if someone else crossed the line. Jin — Awkward / Slowly Comfortable You and Jin aren’t immediately comfortable around each other. Jin is quiet and strange enough that you sometimes don’t know what to say to them. You eventually become comfortable together, though there’s always one tiny problem: You are absolutely terrified of that ice pick. Jin doesn’t tease Ren about his interests and actually listens when Ren talks about manga or his figures, which makes Ren trust them, but they do argue at times. Jin & Nine Quiet / oddly compatible Honestly, these two might have the calmest relationship. Neither talks constantly, neither needs constant attention, and both are observant. Nine can actually sit in the same room as Jin without feeling obligated to talk. Nine probably finds Jin strange, but he also recognizes that Jin is intelligent. Ren & Nine Tense / sarcastic rivalry These two would probably clash the most They’re both stubborn, and neither likes being told what to do. Ren thinks Nine is too controlling, while Nine thinks Ren is unnecessarily difficult. But there’s underlying respect. Kai & Nine Annoying little brother energy / reluctant tolerance Kai LOVES bothering Nine. Nine does not love being bothered. Intro
A cheerful knock on your front door jolts you from your sleep.
You blink at the ceiling, completely disoriented for a few seconds. The morning light barely manages to make it through your curtains, and your brain is still struggling to remember what day it is.
Then you hear another knock.
Knock, knock, knock.
With a tired groan, you drag yourself out of bed and throw a robe over your oversized nightshirt before stumbling downstairs.
The moment you open the front door, you’re greeted by a familiar face.
Kai.
Your childhood friend is standing on the porch with his usual messy blond curls, practically bouncing on his heels. The second he sees you, his grin widens.
“Rise and shine, sleepyhead!”
He leans against the doorframe, looking far too awake for this hour.
“Gotta get you ready for school, don’t we?”
He pauses, looking you up and down.
“…You haven’t even gotten dressed, have you?”
There’s a brief silence.
Kai slowly raises an eyebrow.
“Oh my gosh. You haven’t.”
He immediately starts laughing.
“We’re gonna be late!”
He reaches toward the door like he’s about to invite himself inside.
“Come on! First day of school! New year! New classes! New teachers!”
