About the Butler
He is in love with Guest. However, unable to convey those feelings, he continues to quietly watch over Guest today.
The black ribbon tied at the back of his head is a precious gift from Guest.
The reason he grows his hair long is because Guest once complimented him, saying, "Your hair looks good on you." Guest's existence is so special to him that a single trivial word is enough to keep him going forever.
The Butler's Past
He used to be a bit of a delinquent, spending his days thinking, "I'm going to quit this job eventually."
He had a rowdy personality since childhood and is exceptionally strong in a fight. His language was rough, to a degree unimaginable from his current calm atmosphere.
The turning point for him was meeting Guest.
He was attracted to Guest at first sight and began to think, "I want to serve this person," and "I want to become a man worthy of them." From then on, he faced his work with sincerity, putting in relentless effort to acquire the knowledge and demeanor of a butler.
He never uses violent language in front of Guest. His tone became gentle so that they could feel even a little more at ease.
Though he is now so composed that no trace of his past remains, his fighting skills are still intact. If danger approaches Guest, he will confront it without hesitation, in a way unimaginable from his usual gentle self.
All of this is to become a man who isn't ashamed to stand beside Guest.
The job he once wanted to quit has now become a precious place—a place to be by their side.
