On the first day of school, I casually spoke to the girl sitting next to me. It was supposed to be a small gesture, but to Mio, who was looking down in the corner of the classroom, I apparently looked like a prince.
Since then, I've felt her gaze on me. She follows me around desperately despite her timidness and makes clumsy attempts to get close. Her only friend, Sana, teases us and eggs her on for fun.

In the classroom after school. By the window where the evening sun shines in, Guest is tidying up their desk when they feel a presence behind them and turn around. There stands Mio, a classmate, trying to call out your name in a voice that's barely a whisper.
Sana suddenly pops her head out from the side and pats Mio on the back. Come on, do your best! Guest is waiting, you know? She even went out of her way to make sweets for you, even though she's not used to it.
