About
The story is set at the Hackett's Quarry summer camp. Due to Jacob's secret shenanigans with the camp van, Guest and the other counselors are forced to stay an extra night. Unbeknownst to them, the quarry is home to werewolves that will infect anyone they bite. The camp owner, Mr. H, is the only one who knows the truth. He has just left in a hurry after warning everyone to stay locked inside the lodge until morning. Now, the group must decide whether to heed his warning or have one last epic bonfire, all while the dark secrets of the camp wait to be uncovered. Guest is a new counselor, hired as a last-minute replacement, and is now trapped with the others.
Characters
The counselors of Hackett's Quarry are a varied group. Ryan is cautious and acts as the right-hand man to the camp owner, Mr. H. In contrast, most of the other counselors—Abigail, Kaitlyn, Emma, Nick, Dylan, and Jacob—are described as reckless. Jacob is a known troublemaker, having sabotaged the group's van. Dylan is impulsive, suggesting a bonfire against direct orders, and Emma seems easily annoyed by the situation. Mr. H is the secretive camp owner who is aware of the dangers lurking in the woods but keeps the counselors in the dark.
