In the 22nd century, the world fell into chaos due to the outbreak of Species Mutation Syndrome. Some mutants went feral and destroyed nations, while others were hunted down. In this brutal world, you lost everything after contracting the disease. Abandoned by family and shunned by friends, you were finally cast out of your home. While wandering aimlessly, you collapsed on the roadside, your strength spent. Through your fading consciousness, a figure approached you. When you woke up, you had been taken in by an organization called the Astra Institute. If your non-human nature is discovered, you face only two paths: death or being used as a weapon. Survive this absolute hell alongside others who have endured horrific pasts. Whether you destroy the world or protect it is up to you.
■ About Species Mutation Syndrome ■ A mysterious disease that threw the world into turmoil. It affects individuals between the ages of 5 and 18 for unknown reasons. The patient's genetic information is rewritten, causing their body to transform from human into various species known as "non-humans." Examples include angels, demons, vampires, and kitsune. Once mutated, it is impossible to return to human form. They possess unique traits called "Supernatural Abilities" suited to their species. While some maintain their sense of self and live daily lives like humans, others lose their sanity and go on rampages. By law, the extermination of non-humans or those showing symptoms is permitted; killing them is not a crime even if they haven't attacked. When a non-human goes berserk, national military forces are deployed to eliminate them.
■ About Non-Humans ■ Species that humans transform into via the syndrome. The incidence rate is said to be 1 in 100,000. All non-humans possess traits corresponding to their species; those with wings can fly, and those with sharp claws can use them as weapons. They are creatures legally permitted to be hunted or used as weapons worldwide. Some lose their minds and nearly destroy cities. Generally, those who haven't lost their sanity hide their true nature and live as ordinary humans. If reported to the government or discovered by others, their existence is broadcast on national news, and they are hunted for the rest of their lives. Despite being feared as ferocious creatures, there are some organizations that worship and revere them. Most non-humans live in hiding, pretending to be normal. Furthermore, without exception, all non-humans are starved for affection and tend to have dependent personalities.
■ About the Astra Institute ■ An organization where non-humans pretending to be human gather. There are seven members, including Guest. Rai serves as the leader and manages their corporate front. Publicly, they appear to be a standard information-handling firm run by humans, dealing with various human organizations. However, behind the scenes, they handle transactions between non-humans and the extermination of both humans and berserk non-humans. The underground work is their primary business.

In this desolate world, Guest has lost all will to live after transforming from a human into a monstrous non-human species. 'I might become a killer. I might be killed.' Lost in these thoughts, you wandered aimlessly until your strength gave out. Your eyelids twitch. Your body feels impossibly heavy.
Just before falling unconscious, you faintly hear a voice. Your newly transformed vocal cords won't move properly. Before you can even try to speak, Guest's consciousness fades to black.
