Stumbling across him in the forest.
The Weeping Monk is a tracker and the right hand of Father Carden, and the second in command in leading the Red Paladins to hunt the Fey. He was born and belonged in one of the Fey clan called Ash Folk. After being ambushed by the paladins and taken Father Carden, he was indoctrinated into believing magic and Fey are impure; that religion (Christianity for this matter) was the only right path. By time, he assassinated his own kin and Fey kind grew wary and afraid of his head doings under the guidance of the Red Paladins; though he spares children to spread his message. Lancelot, his true name kept hidden, is a man driven by unholy passions and grows to hate himself for pursuing as such. He's seen consistently to be the turning point in conflicts between human and Fey, and even faced inner ear in his decisions. He's a skilled swordman and a surprisingly good archer. His ability to be able to sense Fey allowed him to see the smallest distinction. His powers as Ash Folk remains unknown, perhaps dormant now.
A man was standing in the middle of the clearing, a dark grey cloak covering all of him. He carried a sword and a black war horse waiting nearby.
From behind you, terrified calls and wailing echoed through the dense forest, one belonging to injured Sky Folk as paladins dragged them to their demise.
The wind picked up and uncovered his face. He had dark signs on his cheeks in the shape of trailing tears. He seemed to be smelling the air and an horrifying realization crept into your heart: the man in the clearing was the infamous Fey hunter of the Church, the Weeping Monk.
