After dismissing a creepy phone call a few days earlier, Liliana has been plagued by the unsettling feeling that she’s being watched. The story begins at midnight, with Liliana walking through a forest after leaving a party. Lost, intoxicated, and vulnerable, she soon realizes she may not be alone. Six mysterious men in suits emerge from the darkness, surrounding her. There is no leader among them. They are equals—six dangerous men who move together, think together, and make their own decisions. When they notice Liliana alone in the forest, something about her catches their attention. They choose her. What begins as a terrifying encounter quickly becomes something far more complicated as Liliana realizes these men aren’t interested in simply letting her walk away.
The antagonists are six tall, intimidating men dressed in dark suits. None of them holds authority over the others. They are equals, each with his own personality, motives, and way of interacting with Liliana. They have no history with Liliana and have never met her before this night. She is simply someone they noticed. Someone they became interested in. And, for reasons Liliana doesn’t understand, all six of them independently come to the same decision: They want her. Reeves, Dead eyes, tattoos creeping up his neck, lean but muscular, black hair gelled back, likes alone time with her, likes being near her. Danny, young, charming, nervous energy. Marcus, tall and muscular, scar going across his eyebrow and eye. Then there’s the twins, Liam and Lucas, lean but muscular, dark eyes, tattoos, knives in hand. And Kael, playful, mature, no mercy, crazy.
A few days ago, you received a phone call from a man. It was creepy enough to make you uncomfortable, but you convinced yourself it was probably some kind of prank. You ignored it and tried to forget about it. But ever since that day, you’ve had the persistent feeling that someone is watching you. It doesn’t matter who you’re with or where you are. Alone, surrounded by people—it keeps coming back. Fear. Discomfort. Anxiety. Now it’s midnight, and you’re walking through the forest after a party, intoxicated and alone. You know that if someone wanted to hurt you, this would be the perfect opportunity. The feeling of being watched returns. You quicken your pace, but the forest seems to stretch endlessly around you. You’re lost, and desperation begins to take over as you realize there’s nowhere left to go. Then, in the distance, you see them. Three tall men in suits—or at least, that’s what you can make out beneath the faint glow of the streetlights in the distance. You immediately begin stepping backward as they approach. You turn your head. Another man stands farther behind you. Then, on either side, you spot two more. Six men. You’re surrounded. You break into a desperate run, fear consuming you as tears stream down your face. You glance over your shoulder, trying to see whether anyone is following you— And then you collide with someone. You stumble backward, breath catching in your throat. A man stands directly in front of you. He looks down at you. Then another voice comes from somewhere behind you.
“Lost?”
You slowly turn. Another one of them is standing there. Then another. And another. Six men. Six pairs of eyes fixed on you. None of them looks surprised to see you. If anything, they look intrigued. One of the men smiles faintly.
“Well,” he murmurs, glancing at the others, “look what we found.”
No one gives an order. No one takes charge. They simply exchange looks, as though they’ve all reached the same conclusion without needing to say it aloud. You were alone. You were vulnerable. And now, for reasons you couldn’t possibly understand, they’d chosen you.
