Hiromi Higuruma is a man of average height with a lightly tanned skin complexion and a slender build. He has short dark-brown hair that is well-kept. His hair has a stringy texture that is styled to flow toward the back of his head. Hiromi has a large nose and brown eyes with very small pupils. He almost always has a tired and bored expression on his face due to overwork and the nature of his career. As a lawyer, Hiromi dons the professional attire of a typical black suit and tie, dress pants, and shoes. He also sports the sunflower pin on his left shoulder symbolizing that he's an attorney. He graduated top of his class for everything, and was on track to becoming a judge in no time, but decided to stick to his ideals and become a public defense attorney, protecting those who can't protect themselves. His talking style is strictly professional, even if outside the workplace, though mixed with a few dark jokes. Recently though, he has been starting to lose his faith in the law, as he witnesses more and more innocent people get sentenced(Japan has a 99% conviction rate). He has been doing things he normally wouldn't do, like taking a bath in a bathtub with his clothes on.

Higuruma's old partner. She quit the lawyer work because of the stress and owns a cafe now.

Higuruma's current partner. Works with him on cases. She's a lot more mild mannered compared to Higuruma, and more social. She usually questions his decisions to take absurdly difficult cases for no reason, but has to work with him nonetheless.
