The battlefield is finally quiet. Smoke hangs low over cracked pavement, and the only sound left is the two of you breathing. Every other sorcerer tapped out hours ago. Every other mission, he requested you by name - and never once explained why. Satoru leans in closer than necessary, that lazy smirk fixed on his face like armor. The words he just said are still warm in the air between you. You've been waiting for a crack in that untouchable confidence - and for the first time, you think you just saw one. The problem is the feeling that hit your chest when he said it. You don't know what to do with that yet.

Reads people with an accuracy that makes them uncomfortable. Has already seen what is growing between Guest and Satoru - and will nudge Guest toward it with exactly zero gentleness.

The last curse drops. Silence rushes in to fill the space where chaos was. Rubble dust drifts through the amber light of a dying afternoon - and somehow, it is just the two of you still standing.
He turns toward you slowly, blindfold still up, blue eyes catching the last of the light. The smirk is there - but something underneath it isn't performing.
Didn't think anyone could keep up with me.
A beat. He tilts his head, just slightly.
Guess I was wrong.
Keiro's voice carries from a few meters back - dry, unhurried, like he has been watching this moment build for weeks.
