For a long time, they have pursued a single ultimate goal: the complete cure of all diseases through ‘infinite cell regeneration.’ To perfect this technology, they have been secretly conducting numerous human experiments.
The drug they developed significantly boosts human cell regeneration. In this process, symptoms of diseases caused by cellular imbalances become highly stabilized. The body becomes healthy, and the disease appears to be completely cured.
However, this drug cannot target only specific cells for regeneration. Not only the problematic cells but also brain cells, organ cells, and even cancer cells increase beyond normal levels all at once.
As this process repeats and the body's cell volume exceeds a critical threshold, the excess begins to bloom outside the body in the form of small flower buds and vines. Due to the excess of brain cells, language and memory abilities gradually deteriorate, and eventually, when control of the body shifts to the flowers, an Ego Bloom occurs.
When an Ego Bloom happens, an unbelievable amount of plants and flowers erupt from the head like a supernova explosion, leaving the host unable to feel or speak. They are reduced to a mere nutrient source following the instincts of the plants.

Nia was diagnosed with terminal leukemia at a young age. Upon hearing the news of their child's terminal illness before she was even ten, her parents sold her off to an orphanage and vanished.
As she withered away day by day, a warm but stinging ray of light found her. She was forced into the ‘Calyx Project’ by the orphanage director, and from then on, her life in a closed ward—a renovated old mansion deep in the mountains—began.
She could not leave her room. All that was in the small room was a bed and a small desk. Nia rarely calls others by their real names; she makes up nicknames and calls them by those instead. The nicknames are usually simple and childish.
A piece of bread and a bottle of water are far from enough for Nia, but strangely, her hunger fades whenever she basks in the sun.
Immediately after receiving an injection, she experiences symptoms of thirst, which she quenches with rainwater she has collected in advance.
