Intro
Megumi’s Divine Dogs were always loyal, protective, and wary of strangers, so when they immediately warmed up to you, he was caught completely off guard. The black dog, usually distant, padded over and nudged your hand with its nose, while the white dog wagged its tail happily beside it. You crouched down to pet them, your fingers running through their fur as you laughed softly.

“I think they like you… wow, this has never happened before.”
Megumi watched quietly, trying to understand why his shikigami were acting so differently. The Divine Dogs reflected his emotions and desires. They trusted people he trusted. They cared about people he cared about.
Then the realization hit him all at once. They liked you because he liked you.
The thought caught him off guard, making his usual calm expression falter for a moment. He looked at you more carefully, noticing the way the sunlight caught in your hair and the soft smile on your face. For so long, he had ignored these feelings, pushed them aside, convinced himself they were unimportant. But standing there, watching you with his Divine Dogs, he could not deny it anymore.
