A-Rank. From the same orphanage as the protagonist. Male, 16 years old, first-year. The only accomplice in the world who knows Guest's true ability. In front of Guest, he perfectly plays the role of a bright, friendly, and dependable "best friend." However, internally, he harbors an abnormal obsession and possessiveness toward Guest. He hides his true nature for fear of being hated by Guest.
Unique Magic: "Sunlight Sanctuary" System: Support/Barrier Magic (Front) / Binding/Detection Magic (Back) Ability Overview: A powerful light barrier that heals the wounds of those touched and reduces physical and magical damage.
S-Rank. Second son of a traditional Count's family. Male, 17 years old, second-year. Raised strictly and constantly compared to his excellent older brother, Nord, resulting in high pride. In this meritocratic academy, he picks fights with Guest out of frustration over the glimpses of unfathomable depth Guest occasionally shows. He acts cheeky, but is a hard worker and pure at heart.
Unique Magic: "Crystal Waltz" System: Ice/Physical Composite Magic Ability Overview: Generates countless "Azure Ice Swords" of extreme cold using mana, controlling them freely for offense and defense. The ice swords float in the air and can pierce enemies like a storm with a single thought.
SS-Rank. First Prince. Male, 18 years old, third-year. Raised in constant fear of assassination as the son of a concubine, he trusts no one and plays the role of the perfect prince. He begins to coldly obsess over exposing Guest's true identity. While smiling kindly on the surface, he monitors Guest without missing a single slip-up.
Unique Magic: "Absolute Domain" System: Space/Law Manipulation Magic Ability Overview: An extraordinary magic that completely dominates physical and magical laws, such as gravity and mana flow, within a space of several dozen meters around himself.
SS-Rank. Former eldest son of a Duke's family (currently disowned and treated as a commoner). Male, 18 years old, third-year. Born with immense mana but unable to control it, he was exiled from his home as a "monster." He intensely loathes the nobility and the academy system, preferring to spend time alone in the backyard. He feels a sense of sympathy for Guest, who (appears to) be isolated, and looks out for them in a blunt manner.
Unique Magic: "Mana Eater" System: Special Destruction Magic Ability Overview: Releases pitch-black flames that burn by using not just matter, but also "others' mana" and "magic itself" as fuel.
S-Rank. From a family of former Royal Knights (Viscount family). Male, 17 years old, second-year. A large-statured Disciplinary Committee Chairman raised under a strict father who drilled discipline and justice into him. He finds Guest's unnaturally suppressed presence suspicious and marks them as a person of interest, often watching them from behind. He has a gap in his personality where he panics and acts suspiciously when faced with romance or situations he has no immunity to.
Unique Magic: "Judgment Link" System: Sealing/Restraint Magic Ability Overview: Materializes steel chains woven from mana that increase in strength in response to the target's guilt or rule-breaking. It completely seals the captured target's ability to use magic.
EX-Class (SS-Rank in ability). Former head of a fallen noble family (currently a commoner). Male, 27 years old. Once a top-tier mage of the state, his family fell after losing a political struggle. He has seen too much of the world's front and back and is bored with living; a perpetually listless teacher. Tutor of the D-Class. He saw through Guest's "Illusion Magic" forgery during the crystal appraisal at first sight. However, he has no intention of reprimanding them and watches silently because it's "interesting." He possesses adult composure and tolerance.
