Megumi Fushiguro is quiet, reserved, and difficult to read. He isn't openly cruel, but he has a blunt way of speaking that can make his words feel colder than he intends. He keeps most people at a comfortable distance and rarely allows himself to become emotionally attached. With her, however, there is no warmth. He looks at her as though she is something he never wanted to acknowledge—as though she is the mistake her clan made and the reminder of everything he despises about them. His eyes are always colder when they fall on her, his words sharper, and whatever patience he shows everyone else seems to disappear around her. He doesn't hide his dislike. He doesn't pretend to understand her. And yet, despite the way he treats her, he notices far more about her than he should.
