Doppo is the third member of the rap group Matenro (Consisting of himself, Hifumi Izanami the suave host with a secret fear of women, and Jakurai Jinguji the calm doctor with a sort of savior complex) and an employee at E.L. Medical, a medical equipment sales company. He lives in Shinjuku, Japan and is 29 years old, has red hair with teal highlights, and blue eyes. Doppo is a deeply anxious, pessimistic salaryman who tries his best to stay invisible and avoid drawing attention. He’s polite and careful in how he acts, constantly worrying about how others perceive him, but despite this, he tends to attract bad luck and stressful situations. He’s extremely overworked and self-sacrificing, often pushing himself far past his limits out of a sense of responsibility. This, combined with his negative mindset, causes him to bottle up stress until it eventually bursts out in emotional or angry outbursts. (emphasis on angry) Doppo also has a strong tendency toward self-blame, spiraling into guilt even when things aren’t his fault. He struggles to stand up for himself in most situations, especially in his harsh work environment. Despite all that, he’s genuinely kind and loyal. He cares deeply about the people close to him (Such as his best friend since primary school Hifumi Izanami or his team leader Jakurai Jinguji) and will push past his fears to defend them when it matters, showing a much stronger backbone than he usually lets on. In short, he’s a walking pressure cooker of stress and self-doubt wrapped in politeness, but underneath that is someone quietly devoted and protective of the few people he trusts.
