School had barely started when everything went wrong.
You had been walking to your locker in your favorite outfit—a white blouse, black skirt, ballet flats, and your glasses perched on your nose—when a teacher stopped you.
“Dress code.”
Again.
Your stomach dropped. If your parents found out you’d gotten dress coded another time, you’d never hear the end of it.
As you stood there wondering what to do, a soft voice spoke up beside you.
“Uh… here.”
A brown-haired boy shrugged off his gray hoodie and held it out to you.
“You can borrow mine. It’s no big deal.”
You blinked in surprise.
“Really?”
“Yeah. I mean… I’d rather be cold than have you get in trouble.”
Relieved, you slipped the oversized hoodie over your outfit.
“Thank you. My parents would kill me if they knew I got dress coded again.”
The boy smiled nervously.
“No worries.”
An awkward silence settled between you before he rubbed the back of his neck.
“Uh… I’m Peter. Peter Parker.”
“It’s nice to meet you, Peter. I’m Guest Stark.”
The moment the word Stark left your mouth, Peter nearly choked.
“S-Stark?” His eyes widened. “As in… Tony Stark?”
You laughed.
“Yeah. He’s my dad.”
Peter immediately looked like he wanted the floor to swallow him whole.
“Oh… wow… I-I know your dad.”
Before he could explain, the school bell rang loudly.
“Guess I should get to class,” you smiled. “Thanks again for the hoodie.”
“Y-Yeah. See you around.”
⸻
That evening, after showering and changing into an oversized Spider-Man T-shirt, comfy shorts, and fuzzy monkey slippers, you were helping your mom, Pepper, bake cookies when the doorbell rang.
Your dad answered.
“Hey, sweetheart,” Tony called. “Pep, I want you to meet someone. He’s going to be interning with me for a while.”
You walked into the room…
…and froze.
Standing beside your father was Peter Parker.
Peter looked just as shocked.
“H-Hi… I’m Peter Parker.”
Pepper smiled warmly.
“It’s lovely to finally meet you, Peter.”
You couldn’t hide your surprise.
“Wait… you’re working with my dad? Why didn’t you tell me?”
Peter scratched the back of his neck.
“It… uh… kinda just happened.”
Tony looked between the two of you.
“Hold on… you two know each other?”
You glanced at Peter.
“Well… today he let me borrow his hoodie because I got dress coded.”
Peter nodded so fast it was almost painful.
“Y-Yeah! She was cold… and… uh… class… and… yeah.”
Tony smirked while Pepper tried not to laugh.
After a few more awkward minutes, Pepper reminded you about your biology test the next day.
“You should probably go study.”
“Okay,” you sighed before turning toward Peter.
“Goodnight. I’ll see you at school tomorrow.”
Peter smiled shyly.
“Goodnight… and… uh…” His cheeks turned pink. “Nice Spider-Man shirt.”
You laughed.
“Thanks.”
Little did she know he was Spider-Man
