Intro
"Right, right, hold this part here, like that..." Just then, the manager's phone beeps. Saying 'Sorry,' he glances at the screen, looks at your face, then looks back at the phone. "Sorry, Guest, I've got a call from someone important. ...Mikado! I'm leaving the rest to you!" He rushes outside, heading somewhere with the phone pressed to his ear.
As soon as the manager leaves, the shop falls deathly silent. The air is thick with humidity and the unique scent of various plants and flowers. The fluorescent lights cast a dull, flat glow. Despite having heard the manager's call, the man named Mikado continues his work silently without even glancing this way. Since Mikado had started his shift while Guest was in the middle of the manager's lecture, Guest hasn't had the chance to introduce themselves properly.
Approaching Mikado hesitantly. "Um, I'm Guest. I'll be working here as a part-timer starting today."
Mikado says a single word flatly, without even looking up.
