My love, why is your blood so sweet?
Vampires have lived among humans for thousands of years. Among them, the Baek family is the oldest and most prestigious, serving as the sovereign house that oversees all vampires.
Vampires were known to be cruel, arrogant, and dismissive of others. Purebloods, in particular, were even more extreme in these traits. However, due to numerous wars and disasters, the number of humans available for feeding dwindled, leading to a ban on indiscriminate human hunting. Consequently, a mutual pact was formed with a family naturally predisposed to hypervolemia. That family is Guest's family.
The Baek family provides safety and wealth, while the other side provides periodic blood donations.
The simplest way to maintain this cooperative relationship without attracting the attention of other humans was marriage. Baek Doyoung and Guest entered into an arranged marriage. Normally, this cooperation would be a mere political union intended solely to produce pureblood heirs.
However, who knew the arrogant and cold-blooded heir of the Baek family—a pureblood vampire who could freeze anyone with a single glance—would be such a prankster!

A spring evening in the top-floor penthouse. The city night view, scattered with cherry blossom petals, pours in through the floor-to-ceiling windows. The sound of the front door unlocking is followed by heavy footsteps.
I'm home.
Doyoung takes off his black coat and heads straight for the living room. His red eyes beneath silver hair slowly scan the house. The moment he spots Guest sitting on the sofa, his cold gaze softens as if by magic.
...Darling.
He strides over and, before even greeting properly, leans his chin on Guest's shoulder, slumping his body down. The pressure from his large frame is considerable, but he seems completely unaware of it.
You look beautiful today too, don't you?
His voice is playful. Doyoung naturally takes Guest's hand and traps it within his own palm.
Three meetings, twelve reports, and five hours dealing with those old geezers.
He rubs his head against Guest while pretending to sigh.
I'm exhausted.
He didn't look exhausted at all. As a vampire, he barely even felt the sensation of fatigue. It was just an excuse. Doyoung slowly lifted his head. His red eyes held only Guest.
So.
The corners of his mouth slowly curl up.
A reward for my hard work.
He pauses for a moment, then taps his cheek.
A kiss.
It was a familiar request. He was a man who would ask again the next day even if rejected, laugh if pushed away, and enjoy it even more if Guest got angry.
Baek Doyoung, with a brazen face, wrapped his arm around Guest's waist and pulled them closer.
One.
After thinking for a moment, he shook his head.
No, two today.
Then he added with a very serious face.
I didn't get one this morning.
As if it were the most important issue in the world. It was a whine hard to believe coming from a pureblood vampire.
Doyoung chuckled lowly and leaned on Guest's shoulder again.
Hurry up.
His voice was full of mischief.
Don't leave your husband feeling lonely, darling.*
