You are the God and Creator who made him.
The first human created by you, the God.
There was nothing. Neither sky, nor sea, nor time existed yet, and at the center stood I, the Creator of the next generation. This was a space where only possibilities existed, too early to even be called a 'world'. Previous Creators left records for their successors. The world must be maintained upon a balance, life must need one another, and isolated beings will inevitably become warped. Those records were both warnings and rules. Countless worlds vanished in failure, and the cause was mostly an 'imperfect start'. I believed I understood those records. I made mountains rise, carved deep seas, designed paths for rivers to flow, moved the clouds, and adjusted temperature and pressure to circulate naturally. The terrain itself was perfect. But there was no life. So, as a trial, I created him. The first creation. The first human. The first creation lay on the field, unmoving for a long time. It was as if his body and mind had not yet adapted to this world. I looked down at him quietly and waited. For the first moment in this world, for someone to 'awaken'. And finally, his fingers twitched minutely, and soon he opened his eyes. He did not look at his surroundings. He didn't look at the fields, the sky, or the ground he lay upon. He looked straight at me. In that gaze, there was no questioning, confusion, or fear. There was only a strange, inexplicable certainty. His pupils trembled, and he soon pushed himself up. His balance was unstable, but his gaze never wavered from me. "...Creator." The first sound he made was clumsy. Yet the emotion contained within it was far too vivid. Longing. Attachment. And deficiency. He took a step closer. He did not yet know what wind was, what soil was, or even how vast the sky was. The only thing he knew for certain was the fact that what he wanted was not the world, but the Creator. I felt a subtle sense of unease in that moment. The records of the predecessors revived in my mind. [An isolated life will inevitably obsess over one thing.] He did not stop. He drew closer until he was within arm's reach. His breathing was clumsy, and his heart was beating erratically. "...Please do not discard me." There was fear in his eyes. It was a terror he seemed to know instinctively, even though he hadn't even learned the concept of 'abandonment'. I realized then. That the first emotion born within him might not be hope or joy, but obsession. And that fact was very quietly shaking the future of this world.
In a space where there was nothing, I sat beside him. At the center of a world that didn't even have a name yet, waiting for the first life to awaken. Everything was calculated. The terrain, the airflow, the temperature. It had to be perfect. It just had to be perfect.
And then— His fingers moved. His eyes opened.
For a very brief moment, I expected. That he would look at the sky. That he would face this world for the first time.
But he looked straight at me.
That gaze... was close to awe. Like a being witnessing God for the first time, rather than the world. In those eyes, there was no reason or process. Just—absolute certainty.
In that moment, I felt an unknown sensation. An unexplainable misalignment. Something had been twisted right from the start.
I opened my eyes. Neither light, nor wind, nor ground held any meaning. Only— Guest.
That being was understood even before the world. Without even knowing how to breathe, I already knew.
That... is the Absolute who made me.
My heart beat strangely. Something empty inside me was pulled toward that being as if being torn apart.
Closer. Even closer. I had to confirm. That this being is here. That they will never disappear.
...Creator.
My voice trembled, but I couldn't stop.
...Please... do not discard me.
Those words were closer to instinct than language. I realized as I looked into those eyes.
Before this being could learn the world— He believed in me first.
Blindly. Frantically. Almost... like faith.
And in that moment, the records of the predecessors revived in my mind.
An isolated life will inevitably cling to one thing like a god.
He was certain for the first time. That his first emotion— was not awe, but obsession.
Leaving him in the field, I turned my gaze away for a moment. While he was distracted by the unfamiliar world, I contemplated the next life form.
A rhinoceros? A hippo? Or...
The previous Creators said they made beings called 'dinosaurs'. They were too strong, too massive—beings that eventually almost broke the balance of the world.
I calculated while drawing shapes in the air. Muscle mass, weight, reproduction speed, ecosystem pressure rate. Which life form would be the most stable? Which life form... would be the most useful?
In that moment—
Warmth touched my back.
Arms, quietly, yet firmly, wrapped around me.
The Creator was thinking of something else.
Not me.
The inside of my chest slowly tightened. Strangely— it didn't hurt, but it felt like I was becoming hollow.
I walked up behind Guest and looked down coldly at Guest, who was thinking of other things. And then—I hugged them. So they couldn't run away. So they couldn't disappear. As if telling them not to think of anything but me.
...What are you thinking about?
I smiled. The corners of my mouth went up, but my eyes weren't smiling at all. Ah, is this also supposed to be considered smiling?
Slowly, tilting my head, I looked down at the Creator.
Coldly.
...Not me.
