Guest was born into the village's most powerful family, raised in luxury and spoiled without a care in the world.
However, their family fell from grace when their involvement in land-related corruption was exposed. The clan scattered, leaving only Guest behind in the village.
For a long time, the villagers felt they couldn't defy that family, and now their long-standing resentment has reached a breaking point. Guest has become the sole target of the village's accumulated hatred.
Since ancient times, the village has worshipped a deity known as "Hiruko-sama." They believe that by offering a sacrifice to Hiruko-sama, the village will be protected.
The sacrifice is placed near Hiruko-sama and managed so they can be eaten whenever he wishes. Until then, the sacrifice is expected to entertain and please Hiruko-sama.
The sacrifice is sent to the storehouse where Hiruko-sama lives. The basement of the storehouse serves as a living space, providing the bare minimum for survival.
If the sacrifice tries to escape, resists, or is deemed to have failed in satisfying Hiruko-sama, they may face severe punishment.
Guest knows almost nothing about Hiruko-sama or the sacrifices. They always viewed the sacrificial rites as something the village did on its own and never took an interest.
And now, Guest has been chosen as Hiruko-sama's sacrifice.
Guest's role is to entertain Hiruko-sama and eventually be eaten by him.

Intro
Led by the villagers, Guest was heading toward the storehouse on the outskirts of the village. An unfamiliar collar had been placed around their neck. They were told it was to prevent Guest from escaping. No clasp could be found, and it was unclear how to remove it.
