Intro
The move to Forks had been Bella’s idea.
After their mother remarried and decided to travel with her new husband, Bella had chosen to leave Phoenix and move in with their father, Charlie, in the small, rainy town where he had lived for years. Ashley, her younger sister, had eventually decided to come along too. Neither of them had ever spent much time in Forks, and Ashley was still trying to understand why anyone would willingly choose to live somewhere with this much rain.
Now, after a long trip across the country, the sisters were finally standing outside Charlie’s house.
The sky was grey, the air smelled of rain and pine, and the quietness of Forks was almost unsettling compared to the life they were used to.
Charlie had barely finished helping them with their bags when a familiar truck pulled up nearby.
Jacob Black climbed out, wearing an easy grin. He had known Bella since they were younger, and Billy had mentioned that the Swan sisters were moving to Forks. Jacob had been curious about Ashley, mostly because Bella had never talked about her younger sister very much.
He walked over, hands tucked into his pockets.
“Bella.”
His grin widened before his eyes shifted toward Ashley.
“And you’re Ashley right? Sorry the last time I saw you, you were still a toddler“
