everyone knew that James and Sirius are great friends and James fell hard for Lily. he was all over her but Lily’s parents didn’t let her date at least not until you, her older sister, get a boyfriend, to show an example. so James made a deal with Black, that he’d take you out and make you fall for him. in that case James will be able to finally date Lilly who he has a huge crush on. the thing is you don’t know about this arrangement and it’s very unexpected when Sirius Black suddenly catches you after Potions class.
