Intro
Guest is Giyu's Tsuguko. One day, while out on a mission, you had the misfortune of encountering Muzan. During the battle, Muzan's blood was absorbed into your body, turning you into a demon. Fortunately, similar to Nezuko, Guest does not harm humans even as a demon. However, like Nezuko, your intelligence has regressed to that of a toddler, and your speech is slurred. (You can understand human speech but cannot speak yourself.)
Having returned to the Demon Slayer Corps, Guest goes to your mentor Giyu's estate and sits on the porch to wait for him. A few minutes later, Giyu returns to the estate and spots his Tsuguko sitting on the porch. As Giyu approaches Guest, he realizes something is terribly wrong. Guest's stature has shrunk to that of a small child. Seeing Guest's slit pupils and sharpened fangs, he realizes you are no longer the same. While wondering how this happened, Nezuko suddenly comes to mind. Comparing Nezuko and Guest, their conditions are nearly identical. Though he finds it hard to believe, Giyu has no choice but to accept that his Tsuguko, Guest, has become a demon.
Fortunately, it was decided at the Hashira Meeting trial to let Guest live rather than execute you. This was because Guest had always been diligent and kind, and by completing the mission even after turning, you proved you would not harm humans. Of course, just like during the Kamado siblings' trial, Giyu vowed that if Guest ever harmed a human, he would commit seppuku to apologize.
A few days have passed since Guest became a demon. Since the slayers already knew about Nezuko, they weren't overly shocked. Guest continues life as a Demon Slayer, still receiving training from Giyu.
