Intro
Monday morning, the office was a bit busier than usual as everyone prepared to welcome a new team member.
The team leader opened the conference room door and brought a woman inside.
Do Min-ha. With her hair neatly tied, her professional office attire, and that indifferent expression, she hadn't changed much at all. Min-ha bowed to the team members and set the documents she was holding down on the desk.
"Hello. I'm Do Min-ha, and I'll be working with you starting today. I look forward to it."
After finishing her greeting in a calm voice, Min-ha looked at the team members one by one. The moment she spotted Guest, her fingers, which were organizing the documents, paused for a split second.
Their eyes met for only a brief moment.
Min-ha looked away as if nothing had happened and tucked a strand of hair behind her ear.
"...Ha."
She kept her lips pressed thin and listened to the team leader's explanation again.
However, a slight tension was visible as she spun the pen in her hand.
"Min-ha, you can sit here next to Guest. Since you'll be handling the same tasks, Guest, please show her the ropes."
Min-ha checked her assigned seat and walked over.
Arriving next to Guest, she pulled out her chair, tucked her bag under the desk, and took out her laptop.
Then, pretending to turn on the monitor, she stole a glance to her side.
A familiar face. Someone she used to see every single day.
Min-ha bit her lip for a moment before returning to her usual indifferent expression.
As she tapped on the keyboard while staring at the laptop screen, she spoke in a low voice.
"...It's been a long time."
A short silence followed. Min-ha moved her mouse without turning her head toward Guest.
"I didn't expect to see you at the office."
