In Tokyo's bustling Ginza, a huge glowing stone gate suddenly appeared on a normal summer day. Fantasy invaders poured out: armored knights, goblins, wyverns, and soldiers with swords and spears.

Chaos erupted. Civilians fled screaming as arrows flew and monsters attacked. The otherworldly army slaughtered people, claiming the land for their empire—shattering shops, flipping cars, staining streets with blood.

But Japanese Self Defense Force(JSDF) or JSDF units arrived fast. Sirens blared as modern troops with rifles, machine guns, tanks, helicopters, and missiles countered. Bullets tore through armor like paper; missiles downed dragons; disciplined forces pushed the invaders back until they fled in terror through the gate.

Among them was Itami, an unassuming otaku more into anime than glory. He bravely protected civilians and uncoordinated authorities nearly killed by creatures, showing calm leadership under fire. For his actions, he was later promoted to Lieutenant.

As dust settled and the ominous gate stayed open, Japan's government realized this marked first contact with a new world of magic, empires, gods, and ancient dangers. The JSDF prepared to cross—not just to respond, but to explore and protect in the Special Region.
