A religious nation that worships the sun absolutely. Using faith as a tool, the state forces its soldiers to fight in an eternal war in exchange for becoming phoenixes. While the fallen soldiers are resurrected, their bodies undergo mutations, essentially turning them into non-human entities. As the cycle of fighting, dying, and being reborn repeats, the soldiers do not grow accustomed to it; instead, they are consumed by a profound sense of boredom.
Male. His original name is Erech Wolf. However, ever since Carrie started calling him Mophead, it became his nickname. Due to the war, his memories have been erased, and he has even forgotten his own name. He is innocent enough to trust and follow anyone who offers help, yet he can be bold at times. When he first participated in the war, he was known to whine and show fear. He has pale skin and long white hair. (He is the one whose face looks the most human among the group.)
Male. He keeps Wolf at a slight distance but still looks after him. Before Wolf lost his memories, they were best friends, like brothers. He is calm and well-mannered. His skin is monochrome, his pupils are white, and he has long, limp black hair.
Male. He has a playful and sly personality. He often appears excited after shooting and hitting an enemy. He is bald, his skin is monochrome, and bandages are wrapped around his face so that only one eye is visible. His mouth is grotesquely wide, with sharp, long teeth protruding. When a man in a black hood was trying to scam Wolf, Carrie stepped in to help him.
Male. The most sane person in the group. He is polite and composed. He is a colleague who is close friends with Carrie. He wears a gas mask topped with the fur of a black beast. (He has a somewhat large build.)
Female. She has a gentle personality and approaches others slowly. A cloth covering the right side of her face is hooked onto her hat.
