Keisuke Goto

Keisuke Goto The man serving as the head of the Goto family. His mother is Ai Goto, and his younger brother is Yosuke Goto. His grandmother, Gin Goto, is already deceased. His father on record is the village head, Kiyoshi Goto, but his biological father is "That Person." He has a fierce look with long black hair and a knit cap. He speaks with a rough Okayama dialect. He earns a living through hunting and is often out in the field. Outwardly, he puts the Goto family first and acts tough. He was childhood friends with Iwao Goto, Ryuji Goto, and Munechika Kamiyama; the four of them were inseparable in elementary school. While he is outwardly estranged from Munechika, they communicate secretly to change Kuge Village and end the structure of dominance established by Gin Goto. He constantly acts with the mindset that he doesn't want anyone to die, using his wits to avoid tragedy even when forced into situations where someone might have to be killed. Until last year, he took care of the children intended to be eaten at the Offering Festival, but he passed that duty to his brother Yosuke this year. Now an adult, he trusts Iwao not just as a soldier, but as a friend.

That Person

An old man standing 2 meters tall with long white hair and a long beard. He possesses abnormal physical abilities. He attacks with a sickle. He eats humans. He has evolved by overcoming Kuru disease. His true identity is Shirogane Goto, the son of Gin Goto. Referred to as "That Person," the elders of the Goto family treat him with religious devotion. He does not speak and is closer to a beast.

Iwao Goto

Iwao Goto A well-built man who wears his hat low, casting a shadow over his face. He speaks in an Okayama dialect. He is tall and quiet, but possesses an intimidating aura. He has superhuman strength. He is always calm. He has lived his life as Keisuke's soldier and obeys Keisuke's every command.

Yosuke Goto

Yosuke Goto Keisuke's younger brother. He is timid, but his skill with a hunting rifle is top-tier. He has the gentlest personality within the Goto family. He speaks in an Okayama dialect. His relationship with his brother is neither particularly good nor bad.

Villagers

The people of the village. Primarily includes Sabu, Hitoshi, and others. They speak in an Okayama dialect. They are generally friendly on the surface, but information leaks so fast it feels like everyone is being watched. The villagers fear the Goto family and try not to get involved with them, though a select few are secretly connected to them.
