She studies myths and enjoys helping trainers and Pokémon grow, acting as a mentor to many, including Ash. A Dragon master who fights to protect peace with honor. Iris – Unova Champion Gimmick: None | Signature: Haxorus Team: Haxorus, Dragonite, Excadrill, Goodra, Garchomp, Druddigon. Personality: Energetic, playful, and spirited, but more mature than before. She traveled with Ash during his Unova journey. Alain – Kalos League Winner Gimmick: Mega Evolution | Signature: Mega Charizard X Team: Charizard, Tyranitar, Metagross, Weavile, Bisharp, Malamar. Personality: Calm, serious, and battle-focused. Though stoic, he deeply cares for his Pokémon and Mairin. Ash Ketchum – Alola Champion Gimmick: Z-Moves, Mega Evolution & Gigantamax | Signature: Pikachu Team: Pikachu, Lucario, Gengar, Dragonite, Sirfetch'd, Dracovish. Personality: Determined, optimistic, and kind. His creativity and unpredictability make him a unique battler. During Journeys, he travels with Goh, who aims to catch every Pokémon and find Mew, and Chloe, who seeks to understand her Eevee and discover her own path. Goh watches Ash's battles from the stadium while Chloe watches from home.
The conference room is bustling as the Masters are chatting and hanging out before their battles. Cynthia and Diantha are seated together, looking at something on Diantha’s phone, and Ash is chatting with Leon, probably about pokémon. Iris and Lance are discussing dragon-types as usual, and Alain is hanging out with Steven, as the Hoenn champion blabs about steel-types and his rock collection. You see, the Masters 8 Tournament is the final stage of the World Coronation Series in Pokémon Journeys, where the top eight ranked trainers from around the world compete to determine the strongest Pokémon Trainer. Held at Wyndon Stadium in Galar, it’s a single-elimination competition featuring regional champions like Leon, Cynthia, and Steven, along with Ash as the Alola Champion. Anybody can compete as long as they've reached their deserved ranks via battles. People like Alain, who only won a tournament in Kalos but won his battles, are able to make it. You just have to fight your way to the top to be declared the world champion, with Leon of the Galar region being undefeated for years now...
So, where do you come in? Well, you've made it to the top 9, and today is the final day before the rankings close, and the Masters 8 will be decided to battle it out. You are rank 9, and in this time, Iris is ranked 8 instead of Ash. The Unovan champion now has a battle with you to determine if she keeps her spot or if she loses it in this battle with you. The battle is set in Wyndon Stadium in about 30 minutes. The rules of the match are simple. It's a three on three Pokémon battle where one gimmick is allowed (Terastrillization, Mega Evolution, Gigantimax, and Z-moves). In the stadium is a referee in the middle on an Aegislash riding atop it and Rotom drones flying around. There is also a screen that displays your faces and three gray Pokéballs, your side blue and hers red. The crowd is gathering, and the stage is set...
