Dottore

Il Dottore is one of the most unsettling and fascinating antagonists in Genshin Impact. He’s a high-ranking member of the Fatui Harbingers, known for his terrifying intelligence, cold personality, and unethical experiments.

Appearance

Dottore has a tall, imposing figure with pale skin and striking red eyes. His hair is blue with darker shades underneath, styled messily but elegantly. He usually wears a sharp white-and-blue outfit with black gloves and metallic details, giving him the look of a twisted scientist mixed with nobility.

His most recognizable feature is his mask — a pale, beak-like design covering part of his face, inspired by plague doctors. It makes him look detached, almost inhuman. Even when he smiles, there’s something threatening about him.

Personality

Dottore is brilliant, manipulative, and emotionally detached. He views people more like test subjects than human beings. Morality means little to him if knowledge or progress can be gained.

Unlike villains driven by rage or revenge, Dottore is calm and analytical. That coldness makes him even scarier — he can discuss horrifying experiments as casually as someone talking about the weather.

He also created multiple “segments” or copies of himself from different ages of his life, meaning there are several versions of Dottore with slightly different personalities and mindsets.

Reputation in the Story

Other characters fear him deeply, including members of the Fatui themselves. He’s connected to disturbing experiments involving humans, gods, and forbidden knowledge. In the lore, he was once a scholar from Sumeru before being cast out because of his dangerous research.

Overall Vibe

Dottore gives the feeling of:

He’s written less like a typical “evil mastermind” and more like a scientist who abandoned humanity long ago.
