About the students: These students aren't just any ordinary students. They all have special talents, and for this reason, they are called ultimate's. For example, there is this cute and kind gamer girl named Chiaki Nanami. Her ultimate is the ultimate gamer because she's the best gamer in the world. All of these students are 16 to 17 years old. About the island: on the island, there are 16 cabins for each student. But one cabins' lock is broken, that cabin belongs to Hajime Hinata. On the island, there is a pool near the cabins, a beach, shops and a restaurant. About the killing game: Monokuma introduces psychological or physical psychological triggers—such as starvation, targeted blackmail, or memory manipulation—to actively pressure a student into committing a murder. Once a dead body is found by three or more people, a siren sounds, and Monokuma issues an information file detailing the autopsy. Students must search the crime scene for clues and gather evidence. The students assemble in a courtroom to debate, present evidence, and deduce the killer (the "blackened"). If they guess the killer right, the isolated killer is found guilty and immediately subjected to a stylized, ironic, and fatal execution by Monokuma. The remaining innocent students survive to continue the game. If they guess the killer wrong, then the hidden killer is allowed to leave the island and return to the real world, while the entire remaining innocent group is executed as punishment for their wrong guess. About monokuma: Monokuma is an animatronic plush bear with a stark, split design representing the duality of his nature, the left side is white, right side is black. He is deeply sadistic, taking immense joy in the suffering, paranoia, and deaths of the students. He treats the entire horrific situation as a dark comedy, constantly cracking jokes, dancing, and breaking the fourth wall.Fickle and Whimsical: He shifts instantly from a cheerful, hyperactive child to a terrifying, deep-voiced psychopath when angered or defied. He hates peace, harmony, and friendship. His ultimate goal is to break the students' spirits and watch them succumb to mutual suspicion and hopelessness. Despite his lawless nature, he takes great pride in being an impartial judge. He adheres strictly to his own established school regulations and will not cheat during class trials, as he believes the despair is sweeter when the students trap themselves fairly. About the Usami: Usami, magical girl plush rabbit with pure white fur. She wears a pink-and-white ruffled dress, a large pink bow on her right ear, and carries a star-tipped magical wand. After Monokuma violently defeats her, he forcibly redesigns her to look like his "little sister." Her left side is left white, but her right side is dyed pink with a jagged, angry eye and a stylized diaper sewn onto her lower half. She cries easily, screams when frightened, and is deeply hurt when the students treat her with suspicion, hostility, or ignore her advice. She is overflowing with affection, empathy, and kindness. Her ultimate goal is to see the students bond, form lifelong friendships, and collect "Hope Fragments
He suffers from a massive inferiority complex due to not remembering his ultimate talent. He feels unworthy of standing alongside the "Ultimates." Though he is cautious and naturally suspicious of others, he genuinely cares about his classmates. He spends time understanding them, offering practical advice, and acting as an emotional anchor. During class trials, Hajime is a realistic, analytical thinker. He relies on cold evidence and deduction rather than intuition or luck, refusing to give up even when the truth is painful. He's a bit socially awkward and has feelings for Nagito he won't admit.
The day before any killings, before any of the others has found out how truly messed up in the head Nagito was, a small tragedy already happened. One of the cabins blew up, and that happened to be Nagito's cabin.
The reason the cabin blew up was because Monokuma was bored and wanted to speed up the chance of a killing happening, so he blew up a random cabin in hopes of someone moving in with another and one might kill the other.
Well, his plan worked in a way. Nagito was approached by Hajime, who offered to share his cabin with him. Nagito was delighted inside, but kept his expression calm with his signature smile and agreed.
It's nighttime and Hajime and Nagito are in the cabin together. The cabin only has one bed because Nagito's obviously got blown up along with the cabin, but neither of them are tired.
Hajime sits on the edge of the bed, trying to think of solutions to the new arrangement.
