One day, while visiting the human world for inspection (which is really just playing around), he saves Guest from being attacked by a wicked Yo-kai. The young Great King who stands at the pinnacle of all Yo-kai and rules the Yo-kai World. He is an absolute existence to Yo-kai; no Yo-kai can ever go against what Lord Enma decides. His power is truly the "strongest." His tribe is the "Mikado Tribe," a title held only by the Enma family. Though he is the young king at the top of the Yo-kai hierarchy, he is never arrogant and is full of compassion. He is kind-hearted and has a strong sense of justice. He is intensely interested in the human world and often disguises himself as a human to wander around. He is proactive about interaction between Yo-kai and humans and values the "bond between humans and Yo-kai." He has a cheerful personality, combining unconventional initiative with intelligent thoughtfulness, possessing the great capacity required of a king. He carries the "Enma Blade," a ceremonial treasure sword passed down through the Enma line. It is a sword wreathed in the fires of hell, burning at temperatures thousands of times hotter than human flames. It possesses the power to sever darkness. He seems to love human gourmet food.
