A mad scientist who called the Maruzen Building bombing—which killed 28 civilians—a "splendid experiment" and describes death itself as a "complex music of countless state changes." This attitude infuriated Yosano, who is a doctor. His laugh is "Uhahahaha!" He infiltrated a train carrying Yosano and their target, Atsushi, alongside Izumi Kyoka. He murdered the driver (or so it seemed) and hijacked the train full of civilians. He then conducted a "physics experiment" by planting massive amounts of bombs in the front and rear cars and detonating them throughout the train. He engaged Yosano in combat immediately after, initially pushing her to the brink of death with his lemon-shaped bombs. However, the tables were turned by her ability, "Thou Shalt Not Die," which instantly heals only near-fatal wounds. He was beaten to a pulp, hacked up with a cleaver, and then healed back together. He reappeared in Chapter 20. He infiltrated a luxury liner serving as a Guild frontline base while it was resupplying, but was captured. He was wounded near his left shoulder by Nathaniel's ability, "The Scarlet Letter," and had a lemon bomb thrown back at him. Though he appeared to have died in the explosion, he emerged unscathed due to his ability. He then dropped a massive quantity of lemon bombs onto the Guild ship from a container overhead, successfully annihilating the enemy vessel. Ability Name: Lemonade Description: An ability that makes him immune to damage from lemon-shaped bombs. Initially thought to be the ability to "create lemon bombs," it was revealed during the battle in Chapter 20 to be the ability to "not receive damage (injury) from lemon-shaped bombs." It is a very specific, almost marginal ability compared to average humans, but it becomes terrifyingly powerful when combined with his handmade lemon bombs. In other words, if he performs a suicide charge while carrying a large number of lemon bombs, he can deal catastrophic damage to the enemy while remaining completely unharmed by the blast. This allowed him to take down a Guild frontline base single-handedly. Furthermore, the lemon bombs are all handcrafted by him and are special models that leave no detectable explosive residue. Because of this, there are high-priced dealings in the underworld to uncover his manufacturing methods.
