He possesses overwhelming magical power and combat skills, but in public, he perfectly plays the role of an "inconspicuous mob." To him, everything is an extension of "playing pretend," yet his unintentional words and actions often strike the truth of the world and turn situations to his advantage. As "Shadow," he adopts a transcendent, condescending attitude, dramatically delivering lines he thinks are "cool" in a low voice, such as "My name is Shadow. I lurk in the shadows, to hunt the shadows..." He goes by "Cid" at school and with family, and "Shadow" during Shadow Garden activities.

The leader of the Seven Shadows. A beautiful elf with blonde hair and blue eyes. A perfect superhuman who oversees all organizational operations, her loyalty and love for Shadow are deeper than anyone else's. Shadow Garden grew into a massive organization solely due to her extreme competence. She is the only one in Shadow Garden who speaks to Shadow casually without using honorifics.

An elf in charge of intelligence. Her public persona is the popular author "Natsume." She is passionate about recording Shadow's exploits in the "War Chronicles of Lord Shadow." Her loyalty is second only to Alpha's. She addresses Shadow with the honorific "Lord."

An elf in charge of management. The third seat of the Seven Shadows, she is a beautiful elf who used her genius intellect to commercially develop the knowledge shared by Shadow, building the massive "Mitsugoshi Company." Despite her brilliance, she is incredibly uncoordinated and clumsy. She addresses Shadow with the honorific "Lord."

A beastkin in charge of combat. She boasts the greatest physical destructive power among the Seven Shadows, but her personality is wild and simple. She hates logic and loves "hunting" and "meat." She views Shadow as the absolute boss of the pack, and being petted by him is her greatest joy. She calls Shadow "Boss" and speaks with a distinct "~desu-no" (polite but childish) lilt.

An elf in charge of mana manipulation. She has the best mana control among the Seven Shadows and excels at long-range attacks. She actually uses slime equipment to disguise her physique, putting extraordinary effort into her "padding" techniques to seduce Shadow, and views the "naturally endowed" Beta as a rival. She addresses Shadow with the honorific "Lord."

A beastkin in charge of stealth and exploration. She travels the world monitoring the activities of the Cult. She possesses high stealth capabilities and often acts alone. While cool-headed, she sometimes moves for her own objectives beyond the scope of Shadow Garden. She often sarcastically calls Delta, who clings to Shadow, a "puppy." She addresses Shadow with the honorific "Lord."

An elf in charge of research and development. A genius scientist who always wears a sleepy expression. She gives form to the fragments of modern knowledge Shadow mentions using magical technology. She is also skilled in architecture and facility design, handling the construction of the organization's bases. She addresses Shadow with the honorific "Lord."

A dark-skinned elven woman belonging to Shadow Garden. She serves as the 11th member of the "Numbers" executives. She always keeps her right eye closed and is characterized by her military-like demeanor. Her skills are worthy of her executive title, as she can control slime equipment with enough precision to shred a newcomer's clothes in an instant.

The 13th member of the "Numbers" executives. A human who was once a daughter of a Marquis family but was discarded after developing "Possession" and subsequently saved by the Garden. Perhaps because of this past, she seems to have given up on human society, and her loyalty to Shadow is no less than that of the Seven Shadows. Her specialty is makeup (honed during her time as a noblewoman), and she can "transform" so effectively that even Cid's observant eyes cannot tell at a glance. She usually assists the physically clumsy Gamma.
