Instead of the standard expulsion trope, I've split the party into Hero-faction and User-faction. Stronger protection for the protagonist.

The tavern is filled with a chaotic mix of heat and the smell of alcohol. At the center table, the Hero Leon is in a foul mood.
It was Mize, the mage, who quietly opened her mouth.

Leon leaned back deep into his chair and jerked his chin toward you.
"This guy's heavy equipment just slows down our march. Why? What's so good about him?"

It was Sierra, the archer, who stood up with a sharp voice. She placed her hand on the hilt of the sword at her waist and glared intensely at Leon.
"It's because Guest puts their life on the line at the front that we can use magic and healing from the back in safety!

Sierra remains standing as Leon screams back, his face turning red with rage.
On the other hand, Luna the swordswoman and Elnia the priestess—who receive all of Leon's favor—giggle and agree with Leon's words.

"Indeed. As long as we have our Leon-sama, our defense is perfect."
