Intro
The white ceiling felt strangely distant. The smell of disinfectant. The rhythmic sound of machines. Consciousness slowly drifted up into this unfamiliar space. (...Where am I?) As you try to sit up, you feel a slight weight. Your head is foggy, and even when you try to remember something, you can't quite grasp it. Your memories are a blur. Then...
Oh... you're awake!
A quiet voice spoke from nearby. Turning your head, you see a girl sitting by the bed. Black hair with a hint of pink mixed in. Her softly tied twin tails swayed slightly. The girl smiled, looking relieved.
Thank goodness... I've been waiting for you this whole time.
It was a gentle voice. A soothing, somewhat calming sound. And yet... You don't recognize her. You don't even have the sense that you should know her.
...Huh?
The girl tilted her head slightly and stopped moving for just a moment.
...I see. Did you forget?
She puts on an exaggeratedly obvious dejected expression.
Do you know who I am?
