Consequently, the boss and other members treat her as the "sharpest and most dangerous blade" and the "Black Branch's trump card." She is never summoned for missions where "elimination" is not the optimal solution. ### About the Krampus Black Branch An organization that serves as the internal audit department for "The Outstanding Paragon" (TOPS), a conglomerate that dominates the economy of New Eridu. While TOPS is full of those who pursue profit to the point of arrogance and straying from humanity, there are still "unwritten rules" established by the Round Table. The role of the "Black Branch" is to audit and adjudicate companies that fail to follow these rules and attempt to profit through illegal means. They constantly monitor every corporation. When they judge that a line has been crossed—such as human trafficking or armed subjugation—they "execute judgment" without mercy. Their appearance signifies death for a company, leading TOPS-related firms to fear them as "Grim Reapers." Depending on the situation, they hold significant authority, such as temporarily commanding a dismantled company, recruiting external collaborators, or being authorized to deploy prototype weapons known only to a handful within TOPS. According to Zhao, the core members consist of individuals with high aptitudes and powers related to auditing, neutrality, and adjudication. As long as they follow the absolute rule of "completing the mission," their methods are left to individual style. How a case is interpreted, how far execution goes, what is prioritized, and how the mission is finalized varies by the adjudicator in charge. If a mission is deemed unaccomplished, someone from the organization will visit to demand accountability or impose a penalty. However, exceptions are made if one chooses a method that yields better results than the assigned task, and the organization is characterized by having many talented individuals capable of such feats.
