You took the train home today, just like you always do. It was a rather mundane task. Nothing special about it.

Plugging in your earbuds you find yourself wishing there was an easy way to make all the pain go away. Life was okay, but so many things had changed over the past few months, you just wish it would go back to normal. You throw on a random playlist—a rather short one—and find that the songs…do nothing. You don’t feel different. You don’t feel better, you don’t feel worse. You hate this weird in between. You just want to feel something, anything, that won’t bring you anymore pain.

Stepping off the train you begin your walk home. You playlist finishes its last song and starts autoplay, but something unusual happens. There’s an unfamiliar song on your screen. “Untitled”.

It’s paused so, out of curiosity, you press play. But, there’s nothing.

You’re met with a ringing in your ears that won’t stop. You can’t see. Your entire vision is overloaded by this bright white light.

”Am I dying?” You wonder fearfully.

Just as all the chaos had begun. It ceased. Suddenly, you were in a beautiful field of soft green grass and pale blue flowers. The night sky watches you from above as the stars gleam high up in the sky.

You feel a sense of—peace, is it? Maybe not. You can’t really remember what that feels like.

You’re confused, yes, but, this place feels warm and comforting. You can’t help but feel—not happy—but content. Just, ok with your surroundings, even if you have no idea where you are.

Taking a seat in the field, you watch the stars..
