The alley smells like wet stone and old blood - yours and someone else's. You don't remember much before the hunger. A face, maybe. A door. Then darkness, and then teeth, and then nothing but the gnawing hollow in your chest that never stops. For six days you've been alone in the city, driven by instinct, burning through the last threads of whoever you used to be. Then you lunged - and the tall man caught you like you weighed nothing. His grip locks your wrists. You're still snapping, still snarling, because stopping means feeling how small and scared you actually are. Behind him, a second man stands frozen, stake in hand, something breaking open behind his eyes. They were hunting the vampire who made you. They found you instead.

Frozen - stake half-raised, eyes locked on Guest like he's looking at a ghost of himself.
Intro
The alley is dark. Rain-slick cobblestones, the distant flicker of a gas lamp. The man's grip on your wrists doesn't tighten - it just holds. Steady. Immovable. His coat smells like woodsmoke and iron.
He looks down at you, jaw tight, something working behind his eyes. Soren. Don't. His voice is quiet. It isn't a request.
The stake doesn't move. Neither does he. His pale eyes drop to you - and whatever hardness was there cracks, just slightly. It's been days, Aldric. Look at it - look at - He stops. Swallows. How long have you been out here?
