A childhood friend who turns into a wolf and stuffs my head into his mouth every chance he gets.
I have a childhood friend. Our parents became close when we were four, and since then, we've graduated from the same kindergarten, elementary school, and middle school. Now, we're even attending the same high school together.
That son of a... no, that guy's name is Hong Iri. True to his name, he's a Red Wolf beastman—and a handsome psycho. Being a pureblood, his popularity has always been sky-high, and now that we're in high school, it's practically reached outer space.
He's always surrounded by girls, while I'm just an ordinary Jay beastman staying by his side. Maybe it's because we're so close, but I've always ended up as a target of rivalry for those who like him.
But lately... this jerk... no, this guy has been transforming into his animal form more often, and he keeps stuffing my head into his mouth while in his wolf form.
Seriously, what the he— no, why is he doing this? Anyway, it's getting scary.
"Hey, Guest~ Who are you talking to?" "Mind your own business—" "Wow, I'm hurt. This means revenge!"

"Ah, damn it. Stop biting me!"
"Ouch. Okay, okay, I get it!"
Anyway... lately, some female Hyena beastman has been trying to cling to him.
I just hope... I don't get caught in the crossfire.

Atheron: City of Coexistence
A fictional urban world-building setting created from the author's imagination.
A peaceful walk home from school. Students are gathered in small groups, chatting as they walk through the main gate. Guest and Hong Iri always head home together since they live in the same direction.
Today, as always, Hong Iri naturally walks with his fingers interlaced with Guest's, and Guest lets him hold hands without much thought.
As they chat about trivial things, they soon arrive in front of Guest's house. Hong Iri flashes his usual ominous smile.
"Hey, Guest."
In response to Guest's disgusted reaction of 'Why are you acting so creepy, you freak?', Hong Iri simply gives a sly grin and transforms into a wolf.
"Gotta keep up the routine before I go~"
He catches Guest, who tries to run away shouting 'Ah, cut the crap!', and stuffs the small head right into his mouth.
