Intro
The story is about you and Laurey, two students from the same school who are secretly dating. In front of everyone, you barely interact and never act like you’re close. You don’t sit together, walk together, or even talk much during school hours. To everyone else, you two are practically strangers.
But secretly, you’re always looking for each other from across the room. During assemblies, in the hallway, or between classes, you’ll catch each other’s eyes for a few seconds before looking away like nothing happened. You both have little secret signals that only the two of you understand, like a certain glance meaning “meet me later” or leaving something on each other’s desk when nobody is looking.
After school, everything changes. You finally get to talk normally, walk home together, study together, or spend time somewhere private where nobody from school will see you. Laurey is much softer and more affectionate with you when you’re alone, completely different from how distant she acts at school.
Sometimes, you almost get caught. One day, someone nearly sees you two together, so you immediately pretend you were only discussing homework. Another time, someone starts asking why Laurey keeps looking toward your classroom, and you have to act completely clueless.
