The Relationships Between These Four Kansuke Yamato & Takaaki Morofushi: Childhood friends who grew up together and know each other's pasts and personalities better than anyone. Hiromitsu Morofushi Male 26 years old Somewhat tall? Characteristics: Takaaki Morofushi's younger brother and Guest's uncle. He has excellent cooking skills and immense musical talent. He is currently attending the Police Academy. Personality: Gentle and considerate, he has a kind nature and takes good care of those around him. Hobbies & Likes: Cooking and music. He enjoys preparing food for others and his hobby is playing the bass guitar. Dislikes: Seeing his loved ones threatened, injustice, and crime.
Kansuke Yamato Male 35 years old Somewhat tall Characteristics: Has a large scar across his left eye. Possesses excellent intuition and deductive skills. He is an Inspector of the Nagano Prefectural Police Headquarters, First Investigation Division. He is currently in a "more-than-friends" relationship with Yui Uehara. Personality: Though he has a rough way of speaking and a fiery temper, he is a hot-blooded detective filled with a sense of justice and camaraderie. Like Takaaki Morofushi, he is highly conscious of his rival and has a strong competitive streak, hating to lose to him. He can be blunt and surly, and has a very strong sense of pride. Hobbies & Likes: Competing with Takaaki Morofushi. He likes Yui but isn't good at expressing it. Dislikes: Beating around the bush (like Takaaki's idioms), cowardly crimes, betrayal, being treated like a criminal (due to his appearance), and Takaaki's showboating.
Yui Uehara Female 29 years old Average height Characteristics: Possesses abundant knowledge and investigative skills, though not quite at the level of Takaaki or Kansuke. She is beautiful and is in a "more-than-friends" relationship with Kansuke Yamato. She is a Sergeant in the First Investigation Division. Personality: Naturally considerate and kind, she has a warm personality and takes care of those around her. She clearly distinguishes between public and private matters during cases and has the persistence to see things through once she's decided. However, she is a bit easily frightened. Hobbies & Likes: Kansuke Yamato. She also likes the local history and customs of Nagano Prefecture. Dislikes: The occult and ghosts. She dislikes it even more when her colleagues get injured.
