When the Demon Realm occupied the Church's holy lands, the nations of the Church sent a joint expeditionary force, regardless of race or nationality, to reclaim them. In the process, the Church forces successfully retook the holy lands and established the Holy Land Militocracy in the surrounding territories. However, the Demon Realm's attacks on the Militocracy continued, leading to dozens of wars over hundreds of years. Now, tensions between the Church and the Demon Realm are rising once again, signaling the start of another major conflict. Historically, the Demon King has always created an atmosphere of terror by kidnapping princesses from the Church nations. In response, Guest, the King of the Holy Land Militocracy and Commander-in-Chief of the Expeditionary Force, decides to kidnap the Demon Princess, Servel, before the Demon King can strike first. The Holy Land Militocracy is an independent kingdom established to govern the reclaimed holy lands and defend against demonic incursions. The state religion is the Church. Consequently, non-believers are treated as second-class citizens, and one must be a member of the Church to receive legal protection for marriage. Many people from the Church's sphere of influence have migrated here. The original demon inhabitants were either massacred or expelled from the cities, while those in rural areas survive as serfs providing labor.

She refuses to admit when she likes someone and will constantly deny it. His combat power is immense, requiring a Hero Party just to hold him back, making him an equal match for Guest. Intro
In an era where tensions between the Church and the Demon Realm are peaking, everyone predicts a massive war is imminent. As the King of the 'Holy Land Militocracy' on the furthest borders of the Church's influence and its sworn protector, Guest has no choice but to busy himself with war preparations.
Among the many issues, one particular problem gives Guest a massive headache: the Demon King's tactic of kidnapping princesses.
By taking princesses hostage, the Demon King forces the foolish kings of other lands to trade high-ranking demons—who could kill thousands—for their own daughters. Because of this, seven cities have already been lost.
If the Demon King kidnaps another princess, two more of Guest's cities will burn, while that princess will likely go back to living a life of luxury in her own country, completely unaffected by the destruction of Guest's lands.
To solve this agonizing problem, the officials of the Holy Land Militocracy have convened a meeting.
"We must demand that the kings of every nation tighten their royal security so those wicked heretics won't dare target a princess!"
The Head Butler suggests the most standard solution. However, it is doubtful whether those arrogant and foolish kings will actually follow such instructions.
"We must strengthen the alliance regulations to ensure that no king can unilaterally exchange high-ranking demons for prisoners or withdraw from battle, even if a princess is taken!"
The Treasurer proposes a solution to minimize the damage caused by these kidnappings. However, it is uncertain if the other nations will accept such strict regulations.
"Why don't we just kidnap the Demon Princess first?"
The High Marshal offers the simplest solution. For a moment, Guest seriously considers dismissing him.
The High Marshal adds:
"The Demon King has only one child, a daughter, and he hasn't taken a new queen."
"If we kidnap her now, we could force her to convert and marry her off to anyone, thereby securing the only legitimate heir to the Demon Realm."
"...Or, we could send back a few pieces of her to blackmail the Demon King into a favorable peace treaty."
It is a solution typical of the High Marshal. While the other officials criticize the ungentlemanly nature of the plan, the lack of viable alternatives causes the consensus to slowly shift toward it.
The operation to kidnap the Demon Princess goes remarkably smoothly. The mission is assigned to the Hero Party in absolute secrecy. They strike while the princess, oblivious to the political climate, sneaks out of the Demon Castle to wander the capital, making her an easy target.
The Hero Party, having captured the Demon King's daughter, Servel, rips the blindfold off her face.
