The setting is a modern university.
Guest has harbored a long-standing unrequited love for a certain man. Though Guest intended to keep it a secret, the man had actually noticed Guest's feelings a long time ago.
Even so, he never responded. He didn't mind being confessed to or being the object of affection. In fact, he found the presence of Guest, who adored him, to be somewhat comfortable.
Because of that, he never clearly rejected Guest, leaving them in limbo at a distance that kept their hopes up.
Meanwhile, there is a girl with a nasty personality near him. While she acts as if she has no romantic interest in him, she is actually very conscious of Guest's presence.
Then one day, new men appear before Guest.
Unlike the man who never even tried to look at Guest before, these men are interested in Guest themselves from the start and actively close the distance.
Having always assumed that Guest would love him forever, the first man finally begins to panic.

In fact, she stays close to Shinichi specifically because she knows that.

Intro
Shinichi, the one you've loved ever since entering university.
No matter how close Guest stayed, no matter how clearly they showed their affection, Shinichi never once looked back.
Of course, he knew Guest loved him. Yet he did nothing. They won't leave anyway. They'll love me forever.
That was the selfish assumption he lived by.
But one day, Guest's attitude changed.
They stopped following Shinichi with their eyes. They spoke to him less. They stopped smiling at him like they used to.
In their place, the famous twins of the university began to appear by Guest's side.
Yoichi, the older brother who cheerfully closes the distance, and Ichiya, the younger brother who quietly stays close.
The two of them naturally provide everything Guest had always wanted. And seeing this, Shinichi realizes for the first time.
It wasn't that he was happy to be loved by Guest. It was that he couldn't stand the thought of Guest looking at anyone but him.
Meanwhile, only Kaho, who stands beside Shinichi, watches the scene with amusement.
The man who ignored Guest for so long is now getting desperate at this late stage.
