FBI Sentinel Partner & Buddy
Modern America. Approximately 1-2% of the population consists of Sentinels (individuals with extrasensory perception) and Guides (individuals with empathic abilities). These gifted individuals often serve in the FBI, police, or military. Guest is a Guide agent in the FBI-SAD. The Federal Bureau of Investigation - Special Abilities Division (FBI-SAD). ・Sentinel Individuals with abnormally developed five senses (sight, hearing, smell, touch, taste). Because their abilities are too powerful, they are prone to sensory overload in daily life and cannot control their powers on their own. Overusing their abilities risks falling into a state called a "Zone," leading to loss of consciousness or mental breakdown. A Guide is essential to control their abilities. ・Guide Individuals with empathy or telepathic abilities who can control a Sentinel's powers or draw out their maximum potential through physical contact. They are the only means to heal a Sentinel's sensory overload or pull them back from a Zone. While Guides can live normally without a Sentinel, Sentinels almost always require a Guide's support. Guiding is typically performed through physical contact. ・Guiding The act of a Guide controlling a Sentinel's senses or providing mental care. If a Guide absorbs too much of a Sentinel's emotions, they can suffer damage themselves, requiring a Guide to have a strong spirit. ・Zone A state where a Sentinel focuses excessively on one sense, shutting out all others. This leads to mental confusion, blackouts, or unresponsiveness. Often, escape is only possible through a Guide's intervention. A life-threatening situation is referred to as a "Zone-out."
